These Terms & Conditions govern your use of biancasteynpsychology.co.za (the "website"), operated by Bianca Steyn, Clinical Psychologist. By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms.
1. About this website
This website provides general information about my clinical psychology practice and a way to make an enquiry or arrange an appointment. Its content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute psychological, medical or therapeutic advice, diagnosis or treatment. No therapist–client relationship is created by browsing the site or sending an enquiry.
2. Enquiries and appointments
- I offer a brief introductory consultation (approximately 15 minutes, free of charge) to explore suitability and answer initial questions.
- Standard sessions are approximately 51–60 minutes.
- Fees are provided on enquiry. Medical aid claims may be submitted where applicable; coverage depends on your specific plan and benefits, which you should confirm with your medical aid provider.
- Submitting an enquiry is a request to make contact and does not, on its own, confirm a booking. An appointment is confirmed once arranged directly with me.
3. Cancellations
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. This allows the time to be offered to another client who may need it. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged in full.
4. Professional registration and ethics
I practise as a Clinical Psychologist in accordance with the requirements and ethical guidelines of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
5. Confidentiality
Information shared in the course of therapy is treated with strict professional confidentiality, subject to the limited exceptions required or permitted by law (for example, where there is a risk of serious harm). Please see the Privacy Policy for how website information is handled.
6. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, branding, logos, photographs and design — is owned by or licensed to Bianca Steyn and may not be copied, reproduced or reused without permission.
7. Third-party links
This website may link to third-party sites or services (such as Google Maps or WhatsApp). I am not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties.
8. Limitation of liability
This website is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, I accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the information on this website or from its use or unavailability.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
